Baking has been important to me for as long as I can remember. A few decades, a husband, and four sweet boys later, I still can't get enough!
BlueHouse is an ode to my beautiful grandmother who always had a glass of way-too-chocolatey chocolate milk, a crystal bowl of Werther's caramels, and a slice of drool-worthy pound cake waiting for me as I walked into her cozy blue home. Between her sweet care and my mom's extreme love of all things chocolate, my sweet tooth had no choice but to grow. This business is a culmination of the passion I have for creating unique and delectable flavors and the joy it brings me to share that with others.
I stumbled reluctantly into the restriction cake realm following allergy/sensitivity confirmations for two of my sons. Learning to navigate baked goods without using wheat, eggs, dairy, peanuts, walnuts, and pecans was a challenge, but it grew in me a near obsessive passion for testing and creating delicious, inclusive desserts whether using restriction ingredients or conventional ones. I consider my gluten free/vegan Death by Chocolate with dairy free ganache my fifth child and is still my boys most requested cake even though they've grown out of many of those allergies. When I'm not working on orders, you will still find me tweaking and testing new flavors for my menus.
